Dr. Corey Denham is a percussionist, collaborator, and composer committed to the performance of new and improvised music. Corey is a founding member of Forward Motion, a chamber ensemble that commissions and performs contemporary music in various spaces. As a soloist and chamber musician Corey has premiered dozens of new works. As an orchestral player Corey has performed with numerous ensembles including the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, True Concord Voices and Orchestra, Resonance Works Chamber Orchestra, Westmoreland Symphony, Winston-Salem Symphony, Greensboro Symphony and Johnson City Symphony. Corey can be heard on recordings through labels such as Potenza Music, Temporary Residence Limited, Medium Sound and numerous self-released projects. As a collaborator Corey works closely with musicians, composers, dancers, choreographers and multimedia artists. Most recently he was involved in the production of EGO by Ramin Akhavijou a multidisciplinary work presented at the New Hazlett Theater in Pittsburgh PA.

Corey is a staff dance accompanist at Point Park University and teaches a studio of private students at Sunburst School of Music.

Corey holds a D.M.A. from the University of Arizona an M.M. from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and bachelors degrees in music education and performance from Mars Hill University.
